The tournament will also celebrate a complete century of petanque in the world.

Meanwhile, the Petanque Association of Thailand will send four players to France to take part in an international tournament on June 13-15.

The four players are Attapol Kantapalee, Plit Thongpriam, Suksan Piachan and Pakin Pukram with Prarop Thongpates officiating.

Four other players will represent Thailand in the 11the World youth tournament in Suwa, Japan, from July 13-15, namely: Sarayut Kaewpudpong, Charoenwit Kessataban, Yuthana Saisun and Kittipan Incharoen with ACM Kamthon Sinthuwanon as the team manager.

The PAT have also named the 18-member squads for the 24th SEA Games in Nakhon Ratchasima on December 6-15. The teams

Men: Taloengkiat Pusa-art, Pakin Pukram, Suksan Piachan, Mongkol Buakaew, Prawes Panya, Plit Thongpriam,, Ekasit Padungsap, Attapol Kantapalee, and Saranyu Wongsarikij; Women: Thongsee Tamakrot, Supannee Wongsuthi, Pantipa Wongchuwes, Kannika Limwanich, Noknoi Yangchaem, Nataya Yutong, Janya Kerdto, Uraiwan Hirunwong and Panded Taddao.
